EGBA files complaint over Walletto’s alleged gambling payment processing in Lithuania
The European Gaming and Betting Association filed a complaint with the Bank of Lithuania against fintech provider Walletto, alleging it processed payments linked to illegal online gambling operators. EGBA said its investigation included test transactions and called for coordinated action by policymakers, gambling and financial regulators, payment providers and card schemes.
The complaint puts alleged payment links to illegal gambling operators before Lithuania’s financial regulator.
