DGOJ outlines planned deposit limits and risk detection for Spain's online gambling market

Regulation

Spain's DGOJ outlined regulatory work on user protection, risk prevention, fraud and identity theft at the Bet On Ceuta 2026 event, according to the report. Director general Mikel Arana said the agency was prioritising challenges within the regulated market, while acknowledging illegal gambling remains a concern. Plans include shared deposit limits and a common system to identify risky behaviour.
