Spain's DGOJ has extended by four days the second public consultation on a draft resolution approving a mechanism to detect risky gambling behaviour among users. The decision amends the deadline set by an agreement of 9 October 2026 and sets a new closing date of 26 October 2026, inclusive.
The DGOJ said the extension applies generally and on equal terms to all parties taking part in the consultation. The subject of the procedure and the other conditions for public participation remain unchanged.
Observations may be sent until 23:59 on 26 October 2026 to the Subdirección General de Regulación del Juego by email. Operators, associations, experts and other interested parties have the additional four days to submit contributions, observations and proposals on the risk detection mechanism.
The DGOJ said the purpose of the extension is to allow interested persons and bodies to examine the published documentation in more depth and to formulate assessments and observations on the draft regulation. The measure forms part of the regulatory process the Spanish authorities have begun to define a system for identifying potentially risky gambling behaviour, with particular attention to prevention tools and user protection.
