DCMS publishes voluntary prize draw code with six-month implementation period
The UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport published a voluntary code for paid and free prize draw operators on 20 November. It is not legally binding and does not replace existing rules; operators signing up have until 20 May next year to implement its measures, including age checks, spending controls and player protections.
Prize draw operators choosing to sign the code have six months to implement its requirements.
