Colorado Senate advances betting bill with deposit limits and ad restrictions
Colorado’s Senate approved Senate Bill 26-131 by a 20-14 vote, sending it to the House, according to the report. The proposal would prohibit credit-card deposits, cap accounts at six deposits a day and restrict sports betting advertising. Lawmakers removed a proposed ban on prop bets after a fiscal estimate put its potential revenue impact at $2.4 million.
If enacted, the proposal would change deposit, payment and advertising rules for licensed Colorado sportsbooks.
