A joint operation in Gela, Italy, uncovered illegal dog fighting and associated betting, according to a statement by lawmaker Eliana Longi. The operation led to 13 dogs being seized and six people being arrested, she said; the report also describes six people as having been reported to authorities. Investigators seized recordings and equipment linked to the fights.
