Chilean deputies ask CNTV to suspend online betting advertising at all hours

Regulation

Chilean deputies Eduardo Cretton and Marco Antonio Sulantay asked the National Television Council to suspend online betting advertising at all hours. They made the request after the Santiago Court of Appeals set DNS blocking as the mechanism for carrying out a September 2025 Supreme Court ruling ordering the platforms blocked.

The request to suspend advertising could reduce online betting platforms’ television visibility in Chile.
