CEJUEGO seeks two officials’ removal over Spain gambling sanctions data

Regulation

CEJUEGO called for the removal of consumer minister Pablo Bustinduy and gambling director Mikel Arana, alleging they presented 2025 sanctions data in a partial and misleading way. The association said the ministry’s 25 November release omitted a €126,000 penalty against SELAE from its named examples, and said it would ask the CNMC to intervene.

The dispute over omitted sanctions data could prompt scrutiny of how Spain presents penalties and treats public and private operators.
