Cambodia orders casino licensing inspections amid online-fraud crackdown
Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister Aun Pornmoniroth has instructed government departments to inspect casinos nationwide for valid licences, according to a media report. He said casinos involved in online fraud or other illegal activity could lose their licences. Authorities had targeted more than 500 scam locations by 22 June, and 25 casino licences had been revoked or suspended in connection with those actions, according to cited official figures.
Casino operators face nationwide licence checks and possible revocation for involvement in online fraud or other illegal activity.
