Caixa delays sports betting platform launch to 2027 as TCU seeks explanations

Regulation

Caixa Econômica Federal has deferred its planned sports betting platform launch in Brazil to 2027, and has not guaranteed the project will resume, according to the report. The TCU is monitoring the delay and ordered Caixa Loterias to provide a timetable; the supplied text ends before giving the response deadline.

The delayed launch and TCU’s request for a timetable leave uncertainty over when Caixa’s authorised platform will begin operating.
