Brazilian bill proposes automatic online lottery prize payments

Brazilian Deputy Jonas Donizette introduced Bill 167/2024 to provide automatic prize payments for online federal lottery bets, according to the report. A favourable committee opinion with substitute text was presented on 15 December; the amendment period is to resume after February 2026. The proposal would allow payment by bank or payment-account transfer within two working days, up to the personal income tax exemption limit.

Lottery operators could need to pay eligible online winners automatically without requiring a separate claim or physical betting receipt.
