San Salvador de Jujuy proposes banning prize and claw machines
San Salvador de Jujuy's municipal government submitted a bill to the Deliberative Council to prohibit claw machines and other prize or betting devices in local businesses. Mayor Raúl Eduardo Jorge and Government Secretary Ezequiel Aldao Fascio proposed the measure, citing concerns about minors and previous closures of businesses linked to the machines. The council president said the proposal could be amended during debate.
Businesses operating these machines in the municipality could face a proposed ban if the council approves the bill.
