A federal judge in São Paulo partially granted Stake an injunction allowing operations until 25 October. The ruling halted redirection of stake.bet.br and imposed 12 conditions. The judge rejected requests to suspend the betting provisional measure and permit operations until 2029.
A federal judge in São Paulo has granted Stake Brazil Ltda. a partial injunction preserving its fixed-odds betting authorisation until 25 October 2026. The ruling was issued on Thursday 8 October by Cristiane Farias Rodrigues dos Santos, a federal judge at the 9th Federal Civil Court of São Paulo, in a writ of mandamus filed against the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF), Anatel and the Central Bank. The judge rejected the operator's main request to suspend the effects of Provisional Measure No. 1.394/2026 in full and to continue operating until 31 December 2029, the end date of the authorisation granted under SPA/MF Ordinance No. 263 of February 2025. Only the subsidiary request was partly accepted, limited to the date on which the provisional measure itself provides for existing authorisations to be extinguished.
