Brazil Senate president seeks talks on sports betting advertising restrictions
Brazilian Senate president Davi Alcolumbre said on 30 June he would meet Chamber of Deputies president Hugo Motta to discuss a bill restricting sports betting advertising. The Senate approved the proposal in May 2025; it would prohibit betting advertisements or promotions involving athletes, artists, communicators, influencers or public officials. The bill has not yet been referred for consideration in the Chamber, according to the report.
The proposal could limit the people and settings operators may use in sports betting advertising if enacted.
