Brazil’s Supreme Court admits ANJL to betting-law challenges

Regulation

Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Luiz Fux authorised the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) to participate as an amicus curiae in challenges to Law 14,790/2023. The court will hear the three cases together; ANJL president Plínio Lemos Jorge said the association would present technical information supporting the law’s constitutionality.

ANJL’s amicus participation adds industry technical submissions to the Supreme Court’s review of Brazil’s betting law.
