Brazil’s SPA plans six-month betting ban for debt-renegotiation participants
Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) told industry associations that its restricted-user system will check a debtors list under the Desenrola 2.0 programme, according to reports. Participants in debt-renegotiation programmes would be blocked from registering with fixed-odds betting platforms for six months; operators may have fewer than 30 days to update their systems. Further rules are expected on credit-funded betting and a financial self-assessment tool for users.
Operators may need to update exclusion checks within a short period and enforce a six-month registration restriction.
