Brazil’s betting secretariat bars social features on wagering platforms

Regulation

Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting prohibited social-interaction features on sports betting platforms after a consultation from Kaizen Gaming Brasil, according to a circular signed by its inspection co-ordinator. The secretariat said sharing betting tickets, results or other gambling-related data between users breaches existing rules and warned that operators adopting such features could face administrative proceedings.

Operators in Brazil face potential proceedings if they introduce social features that enable users to share gambling-related data.
