Brazil plans six-month betting restriction for debt renegotiation participants
Brazil’s Finance Ministry is preparing rules that would prevent people in debt renegotiation programmes from registering on fixed-odds betting platforms for six months, Finance Minister Dario Durigan said. The proposal would add affected users to a restricted registry, with operators expected to update their disqualification APIs within less than 30 days; the deadline could be 15 days.
Operators may need to modify their systems to block registrations by users in debt renegotiation programmes.
