Brazil ministry orders lottery transfers suspended for irregular sports entities

Regulation

Brazil’s Ministry of Sports established a protocol requiring CAIXA Econômica Federal to suspend lottery-fund transfers to sports organisations operating irregularly, under Ordinance No. 6 published on 12 February. The protocol makes lottery funding conditional on sports organisations meeting certification and legal requirements.
