Brazil issues national policy to combat sports match-fixing

Regulation

Brazil’s sports, finance, justice and public security ministries established a national policy to prevent and combat sports results manipulation through Interministerial Ordinance No. 1, issued on 25 March 2026. Operators in Brazil’s regulated fixed-odds market are expected to detect and report suspicious betting patterns to authorities in real time.
