Boyd Gaming said Cadence Crossing Casino in Henderson, Nevada, will open to the public at noon on 25 March 2026. The venue will have more than 450 slot machines and two restaurants, but no table games at opening; Boyd plans to demolish the neighbouring Jokers Wild once the new property is fully operating.

Analysts discussed Churchill Downs, Boyd Gaming and wider gaming-sector prospects in notes dated 20, 23 and 25 October. David Katz estimated Churchill Downs’ Visa sponsorship of the Kentucky Derby at $3m-$8m, while David Bain said he expected Boyd Gaming’s company-wide EBITDA to be flat year on year in Q4 2026.
Churchill Downs is considering selling nine regional casinos, a process it disclosed with its second-quarter results on 29 July. Truist Securities analyst Barry Jonas said tribal operators and private equity could be interested, while naming Boyd Gaming and Monarch Casino as potential bidders; neither company has publicly expressed interest. The venues may be sold individually or in small groups, and Jonas said a deal is unlikely before later this year.
Churchill Downs is exploring the sale of nine regional casinos, and Truist Securities analysts said several prospective buyers could emerge as the process advances. The company disclosed the plan when it reported second-quarter results on 29 July.
Texas Capital analyst David Bain lowered estimates for Boyd Gaming ahead of its third-quarter results, due on 22 October, while retaining a buy rating and a $106 price target. Bain cited valuation and possible growth catalysts, including a fourth-quarter recovery in Las Vegas locals and other regions; Boyd could also consider assets Caesars Entertainment may sell, although no venues have been put on the market.
Deutsche Bank analyst Steven Pizzella upgraded Boyd Gaming and Penn Entertainment to buy from hold, according to a client report. He raised Boyd’s price target to $99 from $98 and Penn’s to $25 from $23, citing operational momentum and company-specific growth factors.
Boyd Gaming sold the former Eastside Cannery site in Las Vegas for $28.8 million on 10 September, reportedly after Clark County approved plans for a 279-lot housing development. The buyer granted Lennar an option to acquire the property; the report says Boyd’s sale followed its earlier $45 million purchase of the land.
