Boyd Gaming reports Midwest and South revenue growth of 4% in Q1

Results

Boyd Gaming said first-quarter revenue in its Midwest and South segment grew 4%, with EBITDAR up 5% and margins near 37%. CEO Keith Smith said Las Vegas results were affected by weaker destination business and construction disruption at The Orleans and Suncoast. The company expects Suncoast renovations to finish at the end of the third quarter and Orleans room renovations later this year.

Regional growth helped offset Las Vegas disruption, while renovation schedules shape Boyd’s casino operations.
