Belgium’s Council of State suspends Brussels casino concession award

Tenders & awards

Belgium’s Council of State suspended Brussels’ award of the Grand Casino Brussels VIAGE concession to E.C.K., the company behind Napoleon Games. The court said the city had not adequately justified parts of its evaluation and had failed to follow EU foreign-subsidy rules; the suspension does not automatically restore the concession to incumbent Casinos Austria International Belgium.

Brussels must decide how to continue the procurement after the court suspended its award.
