Belgium’s Gaming Commission said on 28 January 2026 that it can no longer process new or renewal F2 licences for booksellers. The Council of State annulled the royal decree governing the activity on 22 January, leaving processing suspended until a new decree or legislative amendment; the commission urged ministers to resolve the situation.

Booksellers cannot obtain or renew F2 licences while the required rules are absent.
