BAGO backs Belgian proposal to restore gambling-tax deductions
Belgian gambling association BAGO backed a bill proposed by Jean-Marie Dedecker to restore tax deductions for regional gambling taxes. BAGO said regulated operators face an effective tax burden of up to 70%, while illegal operators account for 67% of traffic on major gambling sites in Belgium. The association also called for stronger action against illegal gambling.
The proposal could change tax treatment for regulated gambling operators in Belgium.
