Asturias collected €1.24m from its bingo prize tax in the first half of 2026, exceeding the €1.09m raised by the traditional bingo gaming tax, according to regional tax revenue figures. Prize-tax receipts rose 5.22% year on year, while gaming-tax revenue increased 17.7%.
The figures show operators faced two separate bingo-related tax streams in Asturias during the period.

Reportedly, PAGCOR will offer a total prize pool of PHP2.9m, all tax-free, in the third leg of its "₱1K-for-₱2M Nationwide Linked Bingo Games" on 13 September. The event has ten games: nine prizes of PHP100,000 each and a guaranteed "must-go" jackpot of PHP2m in the final game. Tickets cost PHP1,000 and give four cards per game, with Casino Filipino Angeles as the main venue and simultaneous play at branches including Bacolod, Cebu and Iloilo.
The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration states that licensed distributors’ bingo sales to qualifying organisations attract a tax of 3/10¢ per face. The department lists annual registration fees of $2,500.00 for manufacturers and distributors and $100.00 for authorised organisations’ bingo/raffle permits.

To fall within the rules, a group must have operated continuously in the state for at least five years. Each bingo face sold carries a tax of 3/10¢, the department says.
Rank Group chief executive Richard Harris warned that higher gambling taxes could threaten bingo halls and casinos in Britain. The company reported gaming revenue of £835 million for the year to June 2026, up 5%, while profit after tax fell 23% to £29.9 million. Rank said any increase in Machine Games Duty could reduce venue viability and tax receipts within 12 months.
Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance reported that tax revenue from lotteries and other gaming activities reached €3.071bn in January to June 2026, down €281m or 8.4% from a year earlier. The MEF said the decline mainly reflected a shift in demand from physical machines to online and remote skill-based gaming, which it described as subject to significantly lower taxation. It said overall gaming stakes continued to grow.
Mexico’s Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit collected MXN2.025bn (USD 120 million) from the gambling and lotteries IEPS tax in the first half of 2026, according to figures reported by a media outlet. The total was below the MXN2.513bn budget target, despite exceeding the MXN1.952bn collected in the same period of 2025.
