Mexico’s Hacienda reports MXN2.025bn in first-half gambling tax revenue
Mexico’s Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit collected MXN2.025bn (USD 120 million) from the gambling and lotteries IEPS tax in the first half of 2026, according to figures reported by a media outlet. The total was below the MXN2.513bn budget target, despite exceeding the MXN1.952bn collected in the same period of 2025.
The shortfall against the budget target gives operators and investors a measure of gambling tax receipts after the rate increase.
