Armenia bars unlicensed firms from gambling terms in branding from 2027

Regulation

Armenia’s new rules will bar companies without gambling licences from using specified gambling-related terms in company names, trademarks, domains and signage from 8 February 2027, according to reports. Violations carry a fine of AMD 500,000. The State Revenue Committee also explained that separate measures due to take effect on the same date will require telecommunications operators to block unlicensed gambling and lottery sites.

Unlicensed firms and gambling operators will face new branding restrictions, fines and website-blocking measures in Armenia.
