Aposta Legal’s Bets Panel research found smartphones accounted for 98.64% of visits to betting platforms in Brazil in Q1 2026. The research recorded about 6.28 billion visits in the period, including nearly 6.19 billion from mobile devices and 85.4 million from desktops.

France’s ANJ published figures showing that 99 of the 100 sporting events with the highest online betting volume were football matches. The 100 events generated more than €2.14bn in stakes; 51 matches from the 2026 World Cup accounted for over €1.17bn.

Reportedly, Illegal online casinos and sportsbooks in Russia are losing market share to permit-holding bookmakers. Data from the analytics platform Blask shows visitor numbers at illegal portals have fallen to their lowest levels since 2018, with licensed bookmakers capturing 60% of the market.
