Regulation

France’s ANJ reported that online sports betting generated €1.766bn in gross gaming revenue in 2025, up 10.4%, according to a press report summarising its analysis. Stakes reached €11.517bn, up 12%; football represented 54.9% of stakes and tennis 23.0%. The regulator said growth was driven by an expanded football offer and gains in tennis, while some betting types were associated mainly with players showing problematic gambling profiles.

The findings give regulators and operators data on market growth, sport-level activity and player-risk patterns.
