Anápolis court dismisses consumer claim against Novibet over betting losses

Regulation

A civil court in Anápolis, Brazil, dismissed a consumer’s claim against Novibet, according to a report on the decision. The judge found the bets were made by a capable adult and said responsible-gambling tools did not transfer responsibility for the user’s decisions to the operator.

The ruling addresses the circumstances in which betting operators may be held liable for a customer’s losses.
