AGIC urges Italy to complete physical gambling reform and renew concessions

Regulation

AGIC called for approval of Italy’s physical gambling reorganisation decree, saying it would enable renewal of land-based concessions and help counter illegal gambling. The association cited estimates of more than €30bn in illegal-market turnover and tax revenue declines of €250m in 2025 and €101m in the first three months of 2026.

The proposed reform would shape concession renewals and the operating framework for Italy’s land-based gambling sector.
