AGCOM official calls for Digital Services Act implementation to block illegal content
AGCOM media services director Giorgio Greppi called for rapid implementation of Article 7 of the Digital Services Act during an event in Rome. He said platforms could currently decline requests to remove illegal content and argued that the provision would enable identification and immediate blocking of such content; implementation was still pending.
The proposed mechanism could affect how platforms respond to notices about illegal gambling content.
