AGCO updates cannabis penalty schedule after Ontario store-hours change

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) said updates to the cannabis penalty schedule took effect on 10 August 2026. The changes reflect rules effective from 1 May that allow cannabis retailers to open at 7 a.m., rather than 9 a.m.; the schedule was established by the AGCO board and approved by Ontario’s Attorney General.
Cannabis retailers must account for the updated penalty schedule alongside the revised permitted opening hours.
