ADM publishes draft gambling protocols for testing from 13 July

Italy’s ADM published draft updates to four gambling communication protocols covering fixed-odds sports betting, remote bingo, retail betting and the gaming-account register. The updated versions are scheduled to enter the test environment on 13 July 2026; the drafts revise bonus-related fields and messages, fund-transfer functions and other technical procedures.

Concessionaires will need to assess the draft specifications ahead of their scheduled availability for testing.

IIDEA opposes proposed Italian LAN-room rules in 2027 budget bill

IIDEA opposed Article 25 of Italy’s 2027 budget bill, which would introduce authorisation, oversight and tax rules for LAN rooms, and called for the provision to be removed. The association said the government’s projections of 200 venues in 2027 and 2,300 in 2028 were far above its estimate of about 70 currently operating venues.

IIDEA, the association representing Italy's video-game industry, has come out against Article 25 of the 2027 budget bill, which would introduce authorisation, oversight and taxation for LAN rooms. It wants the provision removed in full.
