  • ADM's Sicily 4 office in Messina inspected 20 gaming and tobacco businesses in the Aeolian Islands.
  • Administrative and tax violations were found at 12 premises, with procedures started to contest them and recover taxes.
  • One gaming machine without the required authorisations was seized.
  • The Messina office will continue monitoring across the province.

ADM's Sicily 4 office in Messina reportedly carried out a targeted round of checks on gaming and tobacco businesses in all the municipalities of the Aeolian Islands. The inspections, carried out over the previous week, covered 20 businesses, including tobacconists, bars, betting agencies, game rooms and venues with entertainment machines.

The checks found administrative and tax violations at 12 premises, and procedures were started to contest them and to recover the taxes owed to the treasury. During the inspections, a gaming machine was also seized because it lacked the required authorisations and did not comply with current rules, which stopped its further use.

The Messina office will continue monitoring and checks across the province, including further targeted interventions.
