ADM blocks prediction-market sites in Italy over unlicensed betting

Italy’s ADM blocked prediction-market sites in July, reportedly treating them as unlicensed betting operators. A study cited in the report found that weather-related markets on Kalshi and Polymarket generated about US$279 million in trading between July 2021 and December 2025, including US$125 million in the first nine months of 2025.
