ACMA warns Harris Bookmaking over BetStop promotion failures
Australia’s ACMA warned Harris Bookmaking, which operates as Chasebet, over failures to promote BetStop in three marketing emails and on its website, according to the regulator. The company said a software integration fault caused the unintentional mistake and that it acted promptly to fix it. ACMA also asked internet service providers to block 19 websites it said were operating unlawfully in Australia.
The warning underscores BetStop promotion requirements, while ACMA’s website-blocking request may restrict access to sites it says are unlawful.
