ACMA secures 18-month Palmerbet undertaking after 312 BetStop wagers

Enforcement & compliance

Australia’s ACMA said Palmerbet accepted an 18-month court-enforceable undertaking after taking 312 wagers from a customer registered with BetStop. The customer registered in September 2023, and Palmerbet closed the account in February 2025; the operator repaid deposits made while the customer was registered. Palmerbet must commission an independent compliance review and implement recommended improvements.

The undertaking requires Palmerbet to review and improve controls for identifying and excluding registered customers.
