Accel Entertainment said it is evaluating opportunities in Chicago as city policymakers consider allowing video gaming terminals. The company said it could generate revenue in Q3 or Q4 2026 if the plan advances, subject to customer acquisition and final regulatory requirements.

Accel Entertainment reported record second-quarter revenue of $368m, beating analyst estimates of $356.5m. Net income rose 72% to $13m and adjusted EBITDA increased 11% to $59m, the company said in an 8-K filing.
Accel Entertainment said its subsidiary Toucan Gaming acquired the assets of Rice Palace Inc. and South Louisiana Gaming Inc., which own and operate the Rice Palace Truck Stop Casino in Crowley, Louisiana. The deal adds 50 video gaming devices; Accel and Toucan plan to raise the site’s capacity to 60, while financial terms were not disclosed.
Analysts discussed the proposed Fertitta Entertainment acquisition of Caesars, announced on Thursday, and its potential effects on casino operators. J.P. Morgan’s Daniel Politzer raised questions about financing, possible divestitures and shareholder approval, while CBRE’s John DeCree said the sector could see further leveraged and management buyouts.
Accel Entertainment has launched live table games at Fairmount Park Casino & Racing in Illinois, the company said. The offering includes blackjack, roulette and other games. Accel said it acquired the venue in December 2024 for $35 million; Fairmount recorded $2.17 million in adjusted gross revenue from slots and electronic table games in March.
Analysts issued views on Genius Sports, Churchill Downs, Accel Entertainment and Sportradar in notes dated 3, 4 and 9 March. Truist lowered its Genius Sports price target to $13 from $15 while retaining a Buy rating; other notes discussed company performance, potential developments and forecasts.
