The Zambia Gaming Association said it has begun nationwide inspections of betting companies to check compliance with the law. President Noah Malungila said some companies were not fully compliant and cited tax evasion; the association said the effort involves the Drug Enforcement Commission, the Immigration Department and local councils. The association said illegal gaming machines found during inspections would be confiscated.
