- Turkish football federation suspends 147 officials over sports betting
The Turkish Football Federation suspended 147 officials for 45 days over sports-betting violations, it announced on 20 October. The officials worked at first- or second-division clubs in the past five years and are barred from any football activity during the suspension. In September, 448 people were accused of betting while holding club posts; 147 were found guilty after disciplinary proceedings.
