- Thai snooker champion backs calls to amend gambling law classification
Panchaya Channoi, known as Mind Sakol, backed calls for Thailand to remove snooker from its gambling-law classification after winning the Women’s World Championship, according to the report. The Sports Authority of Thailand governor said earlier this year that the authority would ask the Interior Ministry to amend the 1935 law. The sport’s association said annual competition budgets can reach 2 million baht.
