- Sandwell Council revokes Best One Store licence over missing £920 lottery prize
Sandwell Council's licensing committee revoked the licence of Best One Store in Great Bridge, Tipton, after an investigation into a missing National Lottery prize worth £920. The committee heard the owner gave several different accounts of events, and that CCTV footage was overwritten, hampering a West Midlands Police investigation. The defence said there was no evidence of dishonesty or gain for the owner.
