- Procon-SP survey finds 39.7% of bettors report debt after using betting sites
Procon-SP reported that 39.7% of bettors in its survey said they had incurred debt after starting to use online gambling sites. The survey gathered responses from 2,724 consumers between 4 December 2025 and 9 January 2026; 13.03% said they bet online. Procon-SP said the findings would inform consumer guidance and future enforcement, prevention and education initiatives.
