- India blocks or acts on 8,376 online betting and gambling URLs
India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said it had blocked or taken action on 8,376 URLs linked to online betting and gambling by 28 March 2026. The ministry reported that more than 4,800 URLs were addressed after the Online Gaming Act, 2025 came into force, according to a parliamentary reply made available on 1 April.
