Maine iGaming rules face fourth publication if major changes made

Maine's Gambling Control Unit is accepting comments until 30 October on its third publication of proposed iGaming rules, executive director Milt Champion said. He told a Tuesday meeting that major substantive changes would require a fourth publication and a new comment period, potentially delaying launch beyond Q1 2027. The regulator is hiring six iGaming staff and has secured approval for a new licensing database and portal.
