Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police said 121 young people came forward over gambling-related offences during an amnesty period from 1 January to 31 March. Police said they opened investigations into 117 cases; 109 people confessed to their own conduct and 12 cases were reported by parents or guardians. Officers said outcomes could depend on factors including the amounts involved and efforts to stop gambling.
