- Panama’s finance ministry sets new processes for municipal fund allocations
Panama’s Ministry of Economy and Finance said it would review and establish procedures for allocating funds requested by local governments, following instructions from President José Raúl Mulino. Comptroller General Anel Flores announced audits of municipal allocations made since 2024. The ministry said 2024 transfers totalled B/.6.9 million and 2025 allocations had reached B/.4.6 million.
