Somers officials are asking the US Bureau of Indian Affairs to stop the proposed Hard Rock Kenosha casino unless the project provides funding for local law enforcement and fire services. The Menominee Indian Tribe and Hard Rock have committed annual payments to Kenosha and Kenosha County, but the report gives no agreement to pay Somers; federal approval and a Wisconsin gaming compact remain outstanding.
